Wisdom of the Idiots: Part 10 – Human Knowledge, Corporate Interests & Puppies
Have you ever noticed the parallels between the rise of education and the rise of industry? Or, similarly, the fall of education? Probably not. Few have or do, and almost all of those few are too busy dismantling both the industrial and educational institutions to take the time to tell you about it. Actually, they wouldn't tell you about it even if they had all the time a man could ever want. It's called the Survival Instinct at work. If people knew what they knew; if people knew what they were up to they be chasing them down the street with claw hammers and malice aforethought - and they know it. That's why it's all hush hush, wink wink and say no more!
When Britain signed up to the Lima Declaration in 1975 we agreed to dismantle our industry and send it to developing countries. Ditto for agriculture and fishing. Naturally, as we have no more industry we have no real need for real education. It makes sense to cut education.
Puppy training is an expensive business, you know, and your puppies are going nowhere they'll need an education. The obedience training is still there, of course - there will always be a need for that. But what about 'fetch', 'roll over', 'beg' and 'play dead'? These skills are not required in Post Lima Britain so none of the little darlings will learn them. After all, there's no point in learning to count if you have nothing to count, is there?
Musashi.
