Wisdom of the Idiots: part 15 – Puddings, Conspiracies & Cognitive Control
Any intelligent creature capable of rational thinking processes can be manipulated.
How about the Communist infiltration of the Greens and Glastonbury council by the psychologically suspect and ideologically bankrupt Comrade Deputy Mayor John Cousins and his Marxist Mission to destroy the property owning classes?
You know, I've often wondered at such people who have this hatred for private property. After all, if one has been industrious, saved money and exercised temperate behaviour in order to secure a life reasonably comfortable and free of want, why should one not be permitted to enjoy it and even pass it on to our children when we die?
People like Comrade Deputy Mayor Cousins remain a mystery to me although I do understand that at some not very deep level he's saying that I am wrong and he is right. Somehow he just knows what's best for all of us and he's decided that individual freedom and private property are bad for us.
It's been my experience that people who want to intrude into and control the petty details of other people's lives are generally up to no damn good and no damn good ever comes from it, ever, and Comrade Cousins is no exception in this in my opinion.
Perhaps our Lady Mayoress should purchase a stab-proof vest.
If you do not have property rights, Comrade Cousins, then you are property – the property of the state – just like in Soviet Russia, Red China, North Korea and so on.
You should note that Pol Pot with his Year Zero was particularly keen on No. 8 of the Communist Manifesto.
Slaves do not have property rights. Only free men and women have them.
For your convenience I enumerate here the Ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto as written by Karl Marx and as espoused by Comrade Deputy Mayor Cousins.
Musashi.
1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the state by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralization of the means of communications and transportation in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries, gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of population over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.
